According to the tradition of our school, on October 30th, the 8th grade students and 3rd grade students visited the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum. 180 of our students took part in it.
In order to properly prepare our students for visiting the place that became the symbol of the Holocaust and Nazi crimes, our teachers during the Polish language lessons, history, citizenship and regional education, prepared them for this visit.
On the spot, the guides showed us the great suffering of prisoners and inhuman Nazi crimes – both at Auschwitz I and at Auschwitz II – Birkenau.
The drama of an authentic place, imbued with the suffering of innocent victims, gives a unique sense to this visit.
Many thoughts and emotions created in this place help to understand the sense of the essence of humanity.
We hope that thanks to getting to know the place our students will learn to shape our lives and relationships with fellow people differently!
